B-16_IC 1,029 Posted July 4, 2007 I bought this Briggs at an auction last Saturday. I was wondering what the FB means, I know with my old letter series Wisconsins the more letters the better(more options). I was suprised to see a CJ-8 plug screwed in it, thought it should be bigger? Any help is greatly appreciated!
SmilinSam 3,819 Posted July 4, 2007 Flange Bearing The Model 19's on the 700/725/ B-1 tractors and the Model 23 on the early Landlord and B10 all have a visually cupped type bearing plate on the PTO side of the engine. The FB engines have a flat bearing plate.

Learning 6 Posted July 5, 2007 Hey Sam, What would it take to convert a 19 FB to a 19 like the one on a Simplicity? A new cam and a bearing plate? Just curious. Thanks.
