Bunky 3 Posted July 9, 2007 Well with the Advice of HubbardRa and others I bent me a nev gov. rod and got the wards running today.. Seems to work good other then a couple of Carb adjustments.. No I have another problem I think the spring is weak in the lift arm button it won't hold in the grooves. Is it best to Buy the Simplicity spring or just use a Hardware store one?? ehertzfeld 1 Posted July 9, 2007 It may not be the spring itself. If the tab, "the part that goes into the grove" is worn that will do it too. I had one that wouldn't hold up anything for long. I tried a new spring, and even two springs, and it got a bit better, but the first bump and the plow was down!:O:( I swapped lift handles and the problem went away. HubbardRA 19 Posted July 9, 2007 Try taking a file and squaring up the worn rod and squaring up the slots. This may help.
Roy 0 Posted July 10, 2007 I weld up the worn spot and file it square. Have done this on my B-1, 725, and 7013S. Works great. :)
Bunky 3 Posted July 23, 2007 Does some one have a lift arm torn apart? In the parts diagram it shows a spacer under the spring... I don't see one in mine.. I don't know how to post PDF pages so I can't show the picture
