acfarmer 1 Posted July 19, 2007 Just bought this Simplicity Sovereign 18 Hydro with a tiller, mower deck and snow blower.Runs good, has hydraulics and power steering. the problem is the drive shaft going into the gear box (shaft coming out of the gear box) is flopping all around apparently something came appart. How hard are parts or another gearbox to find. Also what is everyone's opinion of these tractors? olcowhand 0 Posted July 19, 2007 If it's got the 90 degree gearbox, then parts are easy enough to find. Sounds like your bearing has come apart. You could get the bearing at most any bearing supply or through dealer. All these tractors are great! And to have power steering is even better. Whole gearboxes can be had off ebay pretty cheap. 2burning 1 Posted July 19, 2007 Another thing, could just be the fiber disk coupler is breaking apart instead of a bearing? If so, should be an easy fix. You can stack 2 fiber disks on top of each other if you have a problem with them breaking.
acfarmer 1 Posted July 19, 2007 I took the disc off and the end of the shaft will go forward and back and wobble around.Guess I need to pull the back end off the tractor to fix it? Also when was this made and what Allis if any compares? thanks
