It really is a nice one for sure. Have you checked them out on "Kents" site under Simplicity tractors its refered to as a G-11? Kent has some really nice pictures of them also with all the attachments. I just wonder how much it will bring on auction and where someone would find attachments for it. I think that I read somewhere they were available in Canada only but I could be wrong. >>->happyjack<-<<

There is a bunch of them here in ILLINOIS, I have seen them at auction go for 100-1400 bucks, the Allis-Chalmers G I am talking about, they were a nice size tractor, attachments are easily found too, you can hitch horse drawn items to them, I almost bought one onetime-BradW

I have a G with a sickle mower on it. Really nice for mowing lots. A nice G with an attachment or two can sell for between $2000 - $3000.

The old G's were made from the 40's thru the 50's They had all sorts of attachs for them. They are still used today for onion farming near here as cultivators in muckland[black dirt] farms because of their low weight/wide track.,They were around $800 new,a lot of money back then. There is also the Canadian version which I recently saw at my AGCO dlr, which has a twin OHC Kohler and hydro drive and lift which the 40's units didn't have. They're around 12K today I believe! There was also in the 70's a Japaneese[natch!] copy of the G Don't know much about that one though. The local A.C. dlr here at the time was selling them.?Because the orig G's were NLA.

[THUMP] That was the sound of me kicking myself for thinking $800 was too much for a decent one a couple years ago. There is a slightly larger, modern tractor built like that. But I forget the name. It's somewhere on Yetmans manufacturers page.
