Looks that way... They offer both the Power Trac and Tru Powers though -- both of which I prefer over Super Lugs...

None of my local suppliers can get that size any more. Went lug tire shopping and all I could find was 23x10.50x12 in titan and carlisle. Not sure if nanco makes any, but most all the tire makers like firstone and good year got out of lawn & garden it seems. I know the carlisle 10.50's went from around $55 to $75 each a few months ago.

Here's a copy of an email from Carlisle I just received, The super lug tire does not come in this size, the closest to this size that we carry is a 23x10.50x12. Thank You..

Eight pair for sale. Not Carlisle, but if they are disappearing, beggers can't be choosy. http://cgi.ebay.com/23-x-8-50-12-AG-TRACTOR-TIRES-4-PLY-LUG_W0QQitemZ300133953986QQcmdZViewItem

Bob, 23x8.50x12 ag (lug) tires are not going away, only the Carlisle Super Lug design in that size. You can still get two other designs of Carlisle/Titan lugs in that size, from places like Cedar Rapid Tire: http://www.cedarrapidstire.com/results.asp?tcat=LG&beadsize=23-8.50-12 2-ply Power Trac lugs for $43.56 each, plus shipping: 4-ply Tru Power lugs for $53.83 each, plus shipping: Here's a different source that has Nanco 4-ply lugs for $51.99 each, with free shipping: http://1stoptires.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=47&osCsid=c860d8bf9b5825414f023171226288bb I've heard nothing but good things about the Nanco tires -- they're OEM on some new machines. My personal favorite (since Chen Shen lugs are NLA) would be either Firestones -- expensive and hard to find -- or the Carlisle/Titan Tru Powers...

Deestone makes this size. Good tires too as I have 3 different sets & I like them & also VERY good prices. Here's your size:

Has anyone tried ATV tires on their tractor? The extra diameter would give higher ground speed to tractor. Shuttle is a bit slow at 5.1 mph max. If I could mount a tire with larger diameter I could boost ground speed by .6 mph.

The problem with ATV tires is that most are only rated to carry something like 350 lbs or so -- they're a very lightweight tire, on purpose, for speed and a smoother ride... In comparison, the 2-ply lug tires are rated to carry about 1,000 lbs or so, so they don't puncture or rupture as easily. 4-ply lugs are often rated around 1,800 lbs -- but they also provide a rougher ride than 2-ply ones.

I had noticed that the load ratings were quite a bit less.

My son tried some on his Soverign and after using them about a season he swapped them out for some titan ag tread lug tires. He said he didnt like how they handled on roadbanks. Said the lugs keep the tractor from sliding sidways better.
