coolpool93
I'm trying to get a replacement for the bearing in the tensioner pulley between the BGB and the transmission on my B210. I went to NAPA but they couldn't come up with a replacement, so does anyone know of a source for these? Thanks Steve

rsnik
I was thrilled today to find that Dick's Chainsaw is a Simplicity dealer. My previous efforts at going to Simplicity dealers listed in the Simplicity Dealer locator had neg results (they were out of business or were not Simplicity). Dick's is a bit of a drive but it is an option other than the internet. What I have done to replace many bearings and pulleys (since I could find no local dealer) is to find a local commercial bearing and pulley shop. A decent bearing and pulley shop can hand you a comercial grade, exact replica of any bearing or pulley on earth in two minutes flat. They measure yours and give you one just like it. The cost is typically 80% less than the same part from Briggs.
RenegadeJ
Just ordered one from Brenda at Sandy Lake Implement. Less that 20 dollars not including shipping. Fast service also..
rsnik
I needed an idler pulley so I went to my local Big Bux Fixit Shop. They are not Simplicity but it is a Briggs part so they ordered me one. I believe it was around $65 out the door. Then I discovered the local commercial bearing/pulley shop. I happened to need another of the exact same type idler pulley and the commercial bearing/pulley shop measured the old one and handed me a generic replacement over the counter and charged me under ten dollars. I needed a chain idler pulley for an old Troy Built snow blower that was hard to find and expensive because it's a rare part. I took the old one to the commercial bearing/pulley shop. They measured it up and handed me a generic one over the counter for around six bucks.
