I was going to put new seals, keys, and needle bearings in my early b-10's bgb and found that the input shaft is worn where the needle bearing rides on it. The funny thing is that it is only worn about a 1/3 of the way around the shaft's circumference. This is the 2nd one of these I have seen like this. I plan to replace with new but am having trouble determining the right part#. The "landlord" group parts book on microfiche lists the same part #157426 for all 3 speed models prior to variable speed. No # for the earlier shaft is listed. The early B-10 and 9hp landlord 990314 use a different shaft with a moon key instead of having a long keyway for a piece of keystock where the driveshaft flange connects. Does anyone know if the earlier and later shafts are physically interchangeable? Thanks in advance. Chris
RayS Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Chris, I rebuilt a BGB a while back in a early B 10 the 157426 shaft is what i used with out any problem.
