orangebgood Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Here, being pulled by my Landlord, is a B 10 Serial # 020021 which I believe would make it an early model with a 9 hp engine. This came from the barn of my family's farm and hasn't been run for at least 20 years. It used to push what the chickens left behind underneath the cages. As you can see we really gave this one a workout. I was at an estate auction over the weekend and there in the corner of the garage, all by itself, was a rusty Simplicity rounded hood. I took that as a sign that this classic has rested long enough. Also, the answer to your question is yes, that is the original paint.sm04
toomanytractors Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Good start! According to S/N that should be an early B-10 with Model 23D Briggs 9 HP engine. I still have the one I bought 23 years ago and it's still my favorite. My S/N is higher at 025842 and is supposed to be model year 1964. These are great old tractors and you'll probably have enough fun using it as is you may never get around to restoring it. That's where I'm at with minesm01 Keep us posted and welcome to the club!!
