Broken axle Homelite

Finally made arrangements to pick-up the broken axle E-bay T-16. He is only about 18 miles from my place. My question is about the axle tube replacement. I have a complete 7013 shuttle rear assembly in the shop, BGB included. All still in one piece. When this tractor still had the engine in it, it shifted OK but slipped some. Probably needs adjusted. Is it really easier to repace the entire rear assebly? or just replace the axle tube? Would a tube from a B-110 be the same? Thanks GregB

It is a lot easier to just replace the entire assy! I don't think the axle tube is the same from a three speed transmission but others may be able to answer that better. Dan

Hey, I've got a broken axle T16H, or had. I bought a rear end off a 7016. Left side or right side? I'm curious

Not really sure what side. I pick it up Saturday. Will post pics in the Show and Tell forum, as this is supposed to be fairly rare Allis built in SC Homelite. Mostly bought it for the 16hp Briggs and the generator hanging off the back. Maybe I'll keep it together though. We will see. GregB
