i have a wheel horse B-100 with a kohler K241AS horizonal engine. will a crank from a old cub cadet 123 kohler K241AS work. the wheel horse has a deep oil pan and the rod has a long oil splash on the end. and the mounting bolts are kinda close together. the cub cadet engine has a shallow wide oil pan with a wide bolt pattern and the cub rod has a short oil splash. will the cub cadet crank work in the wheel horse with the wheel horse rod?. are these cranks the same but with different rods?...

We would need to know the spec numbers, or at least I would so that I could look it up... Most likely the crank will fit, but you would want to make sure that the end of the crank is the same (IE: Diameter, taper, step, thread in the end, and keyway, etc.) If all that is the same, the it should work. I think the difference in these blocks is not the crank stroke, but the oil pan and the corresponding rod cap.

Yes, the crankshaft will fit the engine, but like said, make sure the pto end of crank is same as yours so pulley/etc off tractor will fit it. You're right, just different rods used for the "A" style pan.
