KenK Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I just picked up a sickle mower and the lift handle is missing.Would anyone have the dimensions of the lift handle on a early sickle mower.
HubbardRA Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Ken, Sorry that I didn't notice this sooner. Been pretty busy since I retired. Don't have the regular check in times that I did when working. Here is a couple pictures of the handle: Distance from end to center of first hole is 1/2 inch. Holes are 2 3/4 apart. Hole size is 0.390 which is clearance hole for 3/8 bolt. End of tube is flattened and then bent at approximately a 15 degree angle. A reinforcement plate that is 1/4 inch thick is welded to the back side, with the second hole drilled thru both pieces. The end of the plate is 1 1/2 inches from the end of the flattened tube. The tube diameter measures 1.07 inches. Hope this is enough information. If you need more please PM me.
KenK Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 Thanks Rod that will help a lot.How long is the tube? I was guessing 3 foot.
KraigRG Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Ken, Sorry I didn't get to this until this afternoon. I measured up mine and came up with same dimensions as Rod. The tube is about 26" from the end to the flattened area. Overall with the flattened area it's a little under 31" Kraig
