perry 1 Posted August 14, 2007 has anybody here ever done pedal pulls with there kids? or seen others pull. i notice our county fair has the pedal tractor pulls this week. i did a little research tonight and found some pics. most of them look like newer pedal tractors and they are all running larger wheels. FiremanRon 0 Posted August 14, 2007 Around here (NW Ohio), the orginizers always supply the tractors. Sometimes they have more than one, since kids can be pretty stubborn about the wrong color tractor. But they usually have bigger tires and are geared down so the kids can get better torque. I know one group that has their own plywood track so they can set it up anywhere and always have a smooth surface. There is another group that has an old garden tractor that they converted to pedal power so adults could join the fun.

ka9bxg 3 Posted August 14, 2007 The tractor that I use for my sled is a Cub Cadet pedal tractor that is stock. The sled is made out of garage door track and I do have 350 lbs weight that I use to stop those little darlings. We use the same tractor for all kids up to 120 lbs. The sled works great for the adults also. I have a old 728 simplicity that I put pedals on and it is a lot of fun. There are pictures on www,wisteam-engine.com

comet66 0 Posted August 15, 2007 I've enjoyed watching the pedal pulls for years. Those kids are some of the most serious competitors I have ever seen.
