bigdan 0 Posted August 17, 2007 now that i've got it home & looked it over, here we go. Allis 716H the wiring in the dash is toast (mice). i ordered a sevice manual & parts book, but it'll be a week or more getting here. can anyone send me a copy of the wiring set up? i'd like to get started on it this weekend if possible. the fuse is gone (it was jumped with a piece of wire! ugh!) what size should it be? (amps) what oil? straight 30W would be my guess. and since the sheet metal is pretty nice, but the paint is rough, i'm gonna repaint. good source for paint? i'm pretty good with rattle cans, i've done several motorcycles that way with nice results. are there any on-line parts sources (of course ebay) for OEM stuff? and last question (for this session! sm03) is there a source for reproduction or original decals? RayS 79 Posted August 18, 2007 you can get parts online from jacks and sandy lake as well. http://www.jackssmallengines.com/ If this guy doesn`t have it he will make it if you send him a picture his decals are excellent quality. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZpierce2160 you can download the parts manual at the simplicity site if you cross reference your mfg. no. on the simpletractors site. It should have the wiring diagram but yours more than likely is a kohler since it is a 716 Allis and simplicity used a briggs.
gregc 3 Posted August 18, 2007 You will get great service from the folks at SANDY LAKE IMPLEMENT CO. INC. for your parts needs. The circuit breaker is part #1665238SM and I believe is 20 amp auto reset. If your tractor has the split circuit alternator the fuse on the DC side is 5 amps. These wiring diagrams are in the Operator's Manual on pages 87 and 88.
