Allis Chalmers Scamp riding mower

I just picked up this Allis Chalmers riding lawn mower on august 22 2007.The motor was blown up:O...connecting rod went through the side of block.The person who had this rider before painted the machine. Today I cleaned up the rider and installed a used 5hp Briggs & Stratton motor,I bought a month ago for $25.00 Cdn. My nephewsm00 was over today and was helping with the reinstalling of the used engine on the AC riding mower. We now have the riding mower running again.dOd Years ago my two neighbors use to have a AC riding lawnmower a little newer than this one. I have only seen a few of these litle riding lawn mowers before.

Now my nephew says the rider is his size...he is only 8 years old. I will have to teach my nephew how to drive it this weekend.:D My nephew says I should keep this one for the tractor shows. The mower deck was even repainted under the deck. So far I had to put a tube in the rear tire,the seems to run good and drives ok.^ Karl

Nice machine. I hope my rear engine wonder boy looks that good when I get it put together
