Allis 112 transmission won't go in gear

clutch releases but transmission won't shift in gear. All linkage is hooked up and shift leaver is alligned with the given slot but it won't rotate into the given gear. HELP Thanks Dougpat

Might be out of alinement in the trans. Look up bent screwdriver trick. It will be in the search section.

Does it grind if you try to go into gear without the clutch? If it does maybe the problem is at the axles and not the trans, see if the axle tube spins. If not check for a sheared key on the input shaft pulley, if that seems fine a teardown maybe required.

No it doesn't grind but the shaft won't rotate into any gear. This seams to me that it doesn't mesh in there. My problem is I have never worked on any of these transmissions so all I can do is guess. I was hoping that someone out there was familar with this setup. Dougpat
