Briggs Model 19 Identification........

mine had an embossed plate that identified the model, make, serial number. The plate was located on a curved shroudoposite the muffler. jh

The model 14's plate was in same location.

Roy the model 19 had a magnamatic ignition (a spring loaded device that would spin under the flywheel like a centrifugal clutch) a model 19d had a 2 or 3 leg ignition with the magnet located on the outside of the flywheel. jh

That makes mine a Model 19 as the it has the Magnamatic on the crankshaft. Don't know about any springs in a Magnamatic. Thanks John.
