MPH 12 Posted September 3, 2007 After fustrating myself tring to mow the clover I needed to have some fun. Dropped the sickle off the LL, hung the plow on it and headed for a nice tall crop of barley I plantted for a green manure crop mid July. Found it be extremely dry out there, except for about 25 feet in from the trees. Barley was just as tall, must just be the shade keeping the need for mositure lower. Plow would go down about 2 inches deeper in the moist dirt, as I was pulling uphill close to the trees it made my Firestones slip:( All done Finish part of the clover patch in the morning and that's the end of my plowing for this year.:( The small clover patch in the lower left of the first and last picture is what I tried the 3314 on. That patch went all summer without mowing and was really twisted together, and Very dry dirt.

Simplicity314 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Got tired of waiting for the moose to show up? Should have thrown a few apples out there. That way the moose could thin out the patch and and at the same time fertlize it for next season for ya:o)

MPH 12 Posted September 3, 2007 "always cross that "have'n to much fun" line" Now come-on Joe, you know bloody well that ole cowboy song singer said "there ain't no such thing":D Dan, nearest owner of a garden tractor with a plow that I know of might be Fairbanks, 200 miles or the Palmer area I know there is a sortta club but that's 280 miles. They have a spring plowday the end of May. When I can give up this working stuff I hope to get involved with them some, maybe then I can host a multi tractor plowday^
