Denny 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Went to the Thresher/Tractor show in Janesville Wi and saw some neat smaller tractors called "Quality Tractors" They were painted with AC orange had Wisconsin engines and no attachmeants. Any ideas? Thanks Den
Simplicity314 0 Posted September 3, 2007 About what year was it? In the 50s and 60s there were a number of small manufacturers out of garages that turned out small numbers of oddball tractors. Then there were the smaller companies in the 70s and 80s that had larger outfits like MTD and Murray manufacure them for them then they were painted and badged with the company that bought them. LPH-5 0 Posted September 3, 2007 I was there also, (the kettle corn was wonderful). they looked like the Economy Garden Tractors from the 1950's. Dont know a lot about either of them, good show, not many Simplicity or Allis, But was a fun day..
Denny 0 Posted September 3, 2007 They were from 1950's with a small tractor frame about cub cadet size but with smaller wheels that were all the same size. The frame is shaped like an I. It has about a four foot wheel base, maybe three feet wide. Possibly an aircraft type tractor? Kettle corn was good, neat to see the old thresher's running around.
