4040 Powrmax front lift

Recommended Posts

I read that there was a kit to use the rear lift cylinder to lift front attachments on 4040 powrmax. Has anyone used one or made their own lift system from the rear cylinder? Maybe use a pulley system like the deck lift cable's.

with it installed in the rear you can lift the deck via a cable system. Or you remove the cylinder from the back and install it up front with the plow or snow blower hitch. At least on an AC 720. Could be different for the 4040.

Rich, the lift system on a 4040 already has this system in place. The front remote metal lines are plumbed in the same line as the rear lift cyl. The 4040's have quick couplers on the side of the torque housing where the lines connect. You remove the weight from the rear lift and the deck, then remove the rear lift cyl. and couple the cyl. into the front connections allowing the front implements like a blade or snowblower to be used from the single lift control. Seeing the need for using 2 implements at one time on the front and rear starting with the 4041/620 tractors they went to the more popular and more desired twin remote split system which places the front and rear remotes on separate controls.

Hello glad I got on this site. I hope to upload a couple of photos of my Simplicity Broadmoor
Model 707 Tractor. I have replaced all the belts on it and installed a new ignition switch.
Have a mower deck which was in poor shape , repaced a couple of bushings and welded the
deck where there was some holes. The tractor and mower deck came from a friend and the
mower deck metal was getting pretty thin. Some new metal was put in it and we also undercoated the underside of the deck. This was done by my friend Greg Toulman.
I have not put the mower deck on the tractor yet, waiting for Greg to come home and give me a hand. Can you please tell me if there is a manual for the mower deck and where I could get one.
I would also like to get some moon wheel discs as well.
I will try and down load some photos of the tractor when my wife shows me how to.
I really love driving this tractor and also how well it is made compare today's tractors, especially the flexible rear end and the rollers.
      Tell the next time
      Paul
