4xbill 2 Posted September 15, 2007 Picked up this little guy today while picking up an Estate Rake. The wife was amazed at the coincidence. When I got home I said to her "You'll never believe it. The guy with the Estate Rake had an AC mower for sale too." Ok... she didn't buy it(and yes I knew he did, before I got there). On to the question... The numbers don't pull up any manuals on the Simplicity website or when searching the parts database online. Does anyone have the manuals(owners, parts, repair) for this? And is there a Simplicity equivalant? thanks
gregc 3 Posted September 15, 2007 Nice find Bill! I also picked one up just yesterday, but no pics yet. Interesting because yours appears to be an early Homsteader, but has a seat and chrome bumper like the early B-207. Also has rear wheels like a late Homesteader. No Simplicity equivalent, but some of the Broadmoors are close. Here's a parts manual: http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_400_3790_01_XX_A.pdf
4xbill 2 Posted September 15, 2007 Much obliged Greg! It's actually very similar to the B208 that I have.
Chris727 1,844 Posted September 15, 2007 Yes, they are very close to the B-207 and 208, but they have a different deck and they have a Simplicity transmission instead of the peerless. Back when Simplicity still let you go through the vendor search page, I had found a parts manual for this tractor and printed it, unfortunately I had not saved the PDF. As far as I know they never had the service manual online so I bought one on ebay.
Mrgoodwrench22 0 Posted September 15, 2007 was just thinking about posting the same question about a manual for the two homesteader 8's I picked up two weeks ago. Mine have the three hole bolt on rims on the back, and off the shelf replacement seats. Thanks for the link. Jeff
