JRomanoff 0 Posted September 16, 2007 I have a 32" Mowing Deck for 1959-1961 Simplicity Model 700 tractor. Deck is in excellent condition, also deck was carried over for 1962 Simplicity 725 Tractor. I'm trying to find out what the value of the first Simplicity mowing deck made is worth. Also, I do have the Mfg number 990207. I want to say "Thank You" to everyone for the "Welcome". I'm sure I will enjoy the club. Thanks Again for all and any replies!

Tacey 0 Posted September 17, 2007 Are you sure it is the first deck made? I thought that Simplicity made decks going back to the 1940's or so? As far as to the value - - - I just watch eBay for a while, and normally there will be a value on there. Good luck with it, Tacey
ehertzfeld 1 Posted September 17, 2007 Fist off, Welcome.:D The first decks made by Simplicity, for the 700 was the 32" ROTARY MOWER (Mfr. No. 990245) These had the bubble deck cover. They also made them for the rear engine Wonder Boy mower too. http://www.simpletractors.com/simplicity/new_in_1962/32_mower.htm What it's worth, is somthing that really cannot be calculated. It's really up to you, the seller, and the buyer. It's basically boils down too, what would you let it go for? And what would you pay for it? Ebay is a decent way to judge things, but don't trust it totally. I saw a electric chipper get sold for over $100, and a week later, the same exact chipper I had only went for $25. They were both in the same area too. Timing is everything, some times it pays off, and some times it don't. That is the best way to give you an answer to the "what's it worth" question. I hope you stick around and join the club, I belive there are a few members in your area.
