Rebuilt Briggs& Stratton no spark

I am A new member and am rebuilding a 1963 B 10 The engine was completely rebuilt new points coil etc.We are unable to get any spark any ideas???

Check to see if the points are opening.I rebuilt a B-1 and the points were binding. Also unhook the grounding wire to see if that helps. Jeffr.

Hi, Do above, and if everything else checks OK, check the flywheel key. very common for this to happen when an engine has just been put together. Good luck Al

This is a magna matic ignition correct where there is a small aluminum wheel with the magnet in it? I hope it's something small like a key or an air gap adj because parts are nla for that one.

I rebuilt my Briggs and i fiqured will i had it out I would paint it. Got it painted went to fire it up, no spark. Finally fiqured out that the housing that bolts to the engine wasn't grounded good enough. So i had to take it of and sand the paint away.
