richp 0 Posted September 19, 2007 Friend of mine has a JD 212 that has worn front tires. As I was looking at the tire to get size of it, I noticed they are solid filled. The valve stem looks like solid rubber in there. Is there a way to save this rim? I figure I could sawzall the tire off but not sure what i'm getting into. Also, these rims look identical to whats on my 7119. Thanks.
wantedinct 0 Posted September 19, 2007 It will probably take a while, but i would think you should be able to cut it off.

dirtsaver 1 Posted September 19, 2007 Rich we have had customers bring in solid filled tires they want replaced and refilled. We tried cleaning a few by cutting the tire off in chunks with a cutoff wheel and wire-brushing the rim to get the rest of the rubber off. A 23x12x12 takes at least a couple of hours. Finally decided it was cheaper to just sell the customer a new rim. Larry
