richp 0 Posted September 24, 2007 Has anyone ever put a smaller deck than the 60" on a Powermax? I bought this machine mostly for plowing my fathers driveway and the 60" deck is just too big for my yard. Doesn't look too hard to fabricate mounts to attach a 48" deck. D-17_Dave 12 Posted September 24, 2007 I have a 48" deck I got with a powermax awhile back that has all the top brackets and mounts from a 60" deck on it for just such a purpose. It has the right side cut out for right side discharge and the patch welded on the left. It has clockwise blades on it and a large pulley like the later model 48" decks. It'll take a 48" deck to get outside the wheels anyway so this should work. Thing is I've never taken the time to finish fixing this deck to try it out. It needs a few things before it could be used. But it looks like it would work.
JP 0 Posted September 25, 2007 Hmmm, Seems like you'd spend more time turning it around. :D A LOT use the 48" woods 3pt off the back. Usually due to the unit having a FEL on it. JP
