Landlord identification problem

Hello, i went on the "Simplicity manufacturing inc." site to have information for my 16 HP Landlord tractor. It is supposed to be a model built in the 90's. On this site, it says where to look for the MFG number. So i looked at the place mentionned and i only found a 4 digits number. Problem is, the MFG number, according to the Simplicity site is supposed to have 7 digits, or sometimes only 3 digits, but there is nothing about a 4 digit number...? So i don't have access to anything. I look on the motor, what i found was: Model:303777 Type:0411-015526 And another no (may be serial no ?) :93081811 Where or what should i look for to have information about the right MFG number to know what year it exactly is and other info ? Any advice is welcome. Thanks a lot in advance Salutations Jean

Is the engine model number not the tractor. Some were on the body of the tractor there should be a sticker with the information. Dose the tractor have any numbers on the side of the hood? This may help in identifying what it is.

Jean That is a 16 hp landlord gear. They were only made in 1995/1996. The MFG# should be 1692438. Jean, I would guess that your tractor is MFG #1692301. Model year 1991 thru 1994. Raise the hood and look on the left side of the frame for the i.d. plate or sticker. Operator's Manual: http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_100_1502_00_LL_SA.pdf

Hi, i look over and over all around the tractor and all i saw was a 4 digit number... I never saw another number or sign of a number anywhere on the tractor...(?). I will study the reference you suggested me. Probably that i have a lot with it to do the maintenance of my tractor. Thanks a lot again sirs, Salutations Jean

Greg I found this tractor for Jean and I took the pictures that are posted above of his tractor before he bought it. The tractor is a 16hp 6 speed gear drive, It is not a GTG model. The 1692301 is a 16hp hydro.

The 2007 Belt and blade manual page 123 and all previous year manuals list MFG# 1692301 as hydro. Or is that just in mine and not yours? S 1692301 Landlord-16HP Hydro Drive 1707381

...and you should be able to figure out that the Hydro is a mistake. The gear models use a #1707381 drive belt while the hydros use a #2170164 drive belt.
