B-10 Ignition switch

I am rewiring a B-10 that has a switch and starter button. The w diagram looks as if the switch is wired between the starter button and the S/G. This seems to be a bit of a challenge considering the wires are quite large from the starter button. Could the switch be wired between the mag wire? Meaning when the switch is off the mag to points lead is open? Anyone have a better idea?

The only thing the switch does is ground the mag. If original, I beleive, it has one terminal and that goes the the lead to the points, If it has two terminals the other one goes to ground.

actually when the switch is off it's closed to ground.. After rereading your post I realized you said "between the mag wire". The answer would be no. It is tied into the wire but not between. The rest of my reply stands.

OK that does make sense. Like I said the diagram looks like it (switch) cuts power to S/G from the start button. If I go to the Magneto and to ground that would be easier. I guess that would mean the tractor should still roll over but not start even with the key in the off position.
