Simplicity 2010 rebuild

I just joined a couple of weeks ago and I'm still feeling my way around. I have several tractors I'm working on. One is a Simplicity 2010 Landlord which I believe to be about 1966 vintage. My question is this: In the process of rebuilding I want to change the tractor gear oil and the hydraulic reservoir oil for the lift. Any suggestions on the type of oil to use for either? The tractor is a gear drive unit but has hydraulic life mower and rear implement attachment.

Does anyone know of any decal kits available for this tractor? Thanks - Joe

Heads up: the owners manual for my B-210 (3210 equivalent) specifies 30W motor oil for the hydraulic lift, NOT hydraulic or power steering fluid -- which surprised me...

For the gear box, I'd use 85-90 weight gear oil, unless you live far to the North...

Joe,
I have a 2012 with a hydro lift (I think 1966 also)
-- I suspect it's the same lift as yours. On the
side facing out is a decal that reads:
"DO NOT FILL ABOVE LINE. USE S.A.E. 10W - 30 OIL."
Looking forward, there are 2 pipe plugs on the
hyd. reservoir: drain plug at 7:00 & fill plug at
11:00. The ‘do not fill above line' is just below
the ‘fill' plug hole (10:30?). As far as the bevel
gear unit goes, you should use SAE 90 EP gear oil.
Good luck, John
