Al 6 Posted November 4, 2007 Hi, Not sure about the square cover, but the secondary drive clutch looks like it is quite likely off an Allis Terra Tiger. A 6x6 ATV/BOAT that Allis had for a while in the 70s. I had one, they had a snowmobile engine and a clutch brake steering system not unlike the old Bobcat belt drive skidloaders. Floatation tires that were molded to the hub/rims ran about 2 lbs pressure and had low lugs. They were the drive for water also. If you wanted to get out of the water you had to come out on a sand bar etc. If you had any kind of bank, there was not enough forward force for any traction to climb out. We had a lot of fun with it. You could run it wide open, probably about 25 mph on land and instantly turn it around, it would just slide. Next you had to replace the roll pins in the sprockets on the drive axles, or you continued to have 5, 4 or 3 wheel drive. Was fun to have though. ehertzfeld 1 Posted November 4, 2007 I think the square cover is from a 540 pto attachment.
Killer_A-C 0 Posted November 4, 2007 Might be interested in the cover if it is for a 540 PTO???
ehertzfeld 1 Posted November 5, 2007 it's not quite the same, but it looks right.
TimJr 206 Posted November 5, 2007 Isn't that cover off of an old rear engine rider, or maybe a 1960's snow blower engine cover? Tim
ehertzfeld 1 Posted November 5, 2007 Yeah know, I looked at it again, and I believe I'm wrong. here isn't any cut out for the PTO spline shaft. The blower engine cover could be the answer.
dav 2 Posted November 5, 2007 here the cover is beside a 540 pto. so i think that is not a posssibility there is a hood from a B207 in the haul. could this cover be a part of a B207?
