wilm169 1 Posted November 11, 2007 Is this a K engine or is this something else, or will it fit a simplicity[AC]? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140178059067&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=
PatRarick 1 Posted November 11, 2007 It's a K series Kohler, but with a different base than what Simplicity used. It can be made to fit, but I wouldn't recommend it.
HubbardRA 19 Posted November 11, 2007 Levi, You would need to make your own engine mounts to use that motor. It would be like when I put the Cub Cadet engine into the 61 Wards. I had to make my own engine mounts. The Deere, like the Cub, mounts from brackets up on the side of the engine.
wilm169 1 Posted November 11, 2007 I was just trying to see what it was. It must be like this ford engine I have, can't change to make fit.:(

HubbardRA 19 Posted November 11, 2007 Levi, I have a 14 Hp Kohler from a Case tractor, with the side mounts. I may put it on a Simplicity in the near future. I may use your hood on that one. It is a little bit of a challenge to mount one of those engines on a Simplicity chassis, but that makes it more fun.
maxtorman1234 0 Posted November 15, 2007 hello, that engine would have worked for your application, if you look closely, it does have the mounting flanges for an A/C, just bolt your pan on and drop it in,
