4xbill 2 Posted November 17, 2007 I was having fuel issues with my 3112H, so I took off the carb, disassembled it and it looked fine. So I moved on to the tank. Emptied it and started removing it. Next thing you know, 4 hours(maybe more) later the tractor is 75% disassembled. Fixing this, fixing that... I pull out my manual/parts list to look at something and notice the oil cooler, circled below. Go back to the tractor and look at it. No cooler, a piece of hose spliced in where the cooler should be???? I never noticed it was missing before. I will assume these were standard and not an option, right? Anyone got an extra one? BLT 715 Posted November 17, 2007 Down to the basics, I assume you have the Vickers hydro unit. If you have the Eaton unit, there is no oil cooler as cooling ribs are cast in to the body and that acts as the cooler. If you can't get a cooler core, you can go down to Napa and get an auxilliary transmission oil cooler and rig it up so most if it gets into the fan air flow. A power steering oil cooler would work also. Unless you are really working transmission hard like pulling a plow all day, I doubt if you really get the oil that warm/hot.
