The kind of grease you need is bentonite from techumseh. 32oz.Most dealers have it.

Does anyone know what kind of lubricant is used in the Simplicity snowblower model 755 transmission (mid 90's model-chain drive). The manual says it is permanently lubricated, but I just inherited one of these and when I checked into the transmission it had a lot of heavy grease in the bottom third but not fluid of any kind. Is there supposed to be fluid in this thing? Not a tractor question, but thought maybe someone here could give me a clue. Thanks. Pat

I checked at work on my chart unit takes 12oz of bentonite grease
