Tom_Byrne 0 Posted November 19, 2007 I had some electrical issues with the 2010 a while back so I took the wire off the regulator for the lights. Now I'd like to hook them back up again but they don't want to work. These are the old style lights with the toggle switch on the bucket of each light, and one wire running to the regulator. If I run a wire direct to the battery they light up, but when I put the wire to the regulator I have nothing. Any suggestions?
ehertzfeld 1 Posted November 20, 2007 Tom, just leave it to the battery. All mine are like that.
Dark 0 Posted November 20, 2007 circuit test light sounds like a good tool to use here :0)
LOKI_130 0 Posted November 20, 2007 i agree, I would just add inline fuses and run them direct from the battery or a closer hot lead.
D-17_Dave 12 Posted November 20, 2007 Most regulator light output connections may only power up when the engine is running. If this is the case then reconnect the lights and start the engine to see if the lights work this way. This is most likely designed to prevent you from discharging the bat. when the engine isn't running.
