bigdog46 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I have a Briggs & Stratton 16 hp single cylinder model 326437 from a Simplicity 7116 tractor. I just replaced the rings as it was smoking some but now it has a knock that I can feel with my hand when I touch the bearing plate near the pto end of the crank. Just wondering if it may be the crank bearing or maybe the connecting rod? Maybe some of you have had a similar experience? Thanks for your help.
wilm169 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 You might have got the rod in backwards, the little tab goes toward the flywheel.
