MarksA-C 93 Posted December 1, 2007 I got 4-6" of perfect snow. Not wet, not heavy, easy to plow. What you see falling in the pictures is the freezing rain and sleet. Here is some video my dad took of me plowing. http://youtube.com/watch?v=44lmTf0tTjI
RedbarnRick 3 Posted December 1, 2007 Looks like fun Mark! You will love the chains, you dont slip around or loose traction, but I don't know if the chains tear up asphalt I have a gravel drive.
cwm1276 11 Posted December 1, 2007 The only problem I have with chains on blacktop is if they spin they will leave a mark. And of corse either I am spinning pushinghte snow blower as hard as it will go, or hit reverse with the hyrdo and spin then. My blacktop sealing this summer took care of them, but just waiting to create some new ones.
MarksA-C 93 Posted December 1, 2007 Last year I have the 610 with tire chains and I didn't see any damage to the concrete.

comet66 0 Posted December 2, 2007 Looks like fun! If freezing rain is predicted on top of snow, I leave the snow until the freezing rain stops. Then it can be plowed off the walks and drives along with the snow. I find if I remove the snow first then the ice is harder to get rid of.
