tec2484 1 Posted December 2, 2007 Has anyone ever relined a front pto (cone clutch) before? The lining is all but gone and the pulley bottoms out before the clutch will engage. This is on a 3410s.

HubbardRA 19 Posted December 2, 2007 He told me that he used an old belt and glued it in with contact cement made to attach Formica countertops. Last I heard it was still working a couple years later. He bought a new clutch but it was still hanging on the wall, and the leather was still working. That was several years ago, so I don't know how long it really lasted. I have a couple of mid-PTO clutches that I am thinking of trying this on.
