bob1959 0 Posted December 11, 2007 I want to thank every one for all of the tech support you provided. I did get the answer from the posts that were made. When I had spark rotating the engine backward and posting that, I got the response about the cam being wore. I know that the cam was not wore but it started me thinking about the placement of the mag on the bracket. I felt that I had put it in the same spot but decided to take the flywheel back off and adjust. When I took the flywheel off the key way was sheared so i replaced it and adjusted the mag to the opposite side and low and behold shocked myself. (In more ways than one. LOL) As always thanks. I am glad to get a better understanding about anything machinical. Bob
D-17_Dave 12 Posted December 11, 2007 Way to go Robert. Just one thing, did you correctly time the Magneto on the mount? There are timing marks on the flywheel and the mag. mount. You may have fire but you won't have the proper power if the ignition isn't timed properly.
