RayS 79 Posted December 16, 2007 Anybody know what company used this muffler? I know that it is a nelson but it exits out the end instead of the side like whats used on the B series. It seem quiter than the originals.
PeppyDan 3 Posted December 16, 2007 It looks like what was used on the round fender John Deere 110's! Dan
PatRarick 1 Posted December 16, 2007 On AC/Simplicity I've seen three different versions of this muffler. One is the type you've pictured, another exits from the side with a little stub of pipe, and another that exits out the side through about a 1 1/4" X 2" area of perforations. Don't know if only one or all were available from Simplicity. My B-1 has the muffler you pictured, as does my Big Ten. As to the B-1, I have always assumed was original since the previous owner was a stickler for OEM parts and service. He bought the B-1 brand new, from his local Allis-Chalmers dealer, and that's the only place that he ever went for parts and service on that unit. As for Dan's statement that it looks like the muffler from an old 110 Deere, that's possible as well. I recently acquired a 1966 Deere 110 and it has the same muffler. Killer_A-C 0 Posted December 16, 2007 I saw a muffler like that on a HB-112 that was unrestored. Looked like it had been on there awhile.

Killer_A-C 0 Posted December 16, 2007 According to HAPCO this is the correct muffler for the JD 110.
LPH-5 0 Posted December 16, 2007 Hello, part number is AM30280 on the muffler box cost $50.00, Mat the muffler by HAPCO did come on my 1966 110 round fender,( I had one on my Jd110 till it just wore out) But when they ran out of them ( I don't know what year) you ordered and got that muffler in the picture. Now hapco (Brandon) did have a Bunch of the original mufflers made up 18 Months ago (or so), so we would have the original ones to put on our JD110 ( my original 1966 operators manual has the muffler part number as (AM 30280 M), but that is a 1966 book. Hope this helps you..Floyd

crewchief12 0 Posted December 18, 2007 The winter shield will not fit the new part with the seam in the middle but it will fit the original that Ray posted. This is a problem for units with snow blowers......
