Needle bearing installation

Recommended Posts

Chris727
Hi. I've been working on the BGB out of the early B-10, am getting ready to put in the new needle bearings and the book says to put them in with the flat side up. Is this when looking at the outside of the box or the inside? It looks like they can be driven in either way. Thank You. Chris

I'd take "up" as meaning the outside of the case since that's the direction you'll be installing them from. Been a long time since I've looked at one but if one side is tapered I'm saying that's to help start it in the hole straight.
