FastPaul 0 Posted December 19, 2007 The B-112 I just brought home is stuck in first gear ? This happens to my other B-112 sometimes and I can get it unstuck by going threw the oil fill hole on the top of the tranny On that tractor the shifter gets bound up tight and you have to disconnect the shifter first ,This new tractor s all the gears If you put it in 3rd or rev. It binds the tranny up ?? any Ideas?
MPH 12 Posted December 19, 2007 Can't remember for sure just what was happening in my B-112 when I got tired of the 'bent screw' driver trick through the oil fill hole and pulled it apart. I remember the snap rings were the wrong type and it was allowing either a gear or collar to ride up over the snap ring and get stuck, been 5 or 6 years ago. These trannies are simple parts, just pull it apart Paul and look and see:)
BLT 715 Posted December 19, 2007 You might need to get or make some new detent springs. If they are kaput, you can wonder all over trying to select gears and bind things up.
