Fuel Solenoid - ?????

Picked up a 16 twin #402707 0145 01 - First time I have seen a solenoid on a carb.....One tab - Where does this wire too??? could use a diagram - putting in on a 6216 - Thanks Chris

The solenoid you see is a fuel shut off solenoid. It must be wired to a 12 volt power supply when you want the engine to run or you won't have any fuel going to your main jet. Since most Briggs engine use a kill circuit to operate the ignition you'll need a switch capable of the kill circuit as well as an ignition circuit that will supply the solenoid constant voltage. Also you were the orriginal poster of the thread, you can delete your double post as long as no one has replied to it.
