Simpleton7016 2 Posted December 29, 2007 I bought a rear backing light from RayS and will get a few moments tomorrow to install it. However, with the cab on and all the other winter stuff attached, there is no way that I will be able to get behind the dash to plug it in to the front light switch. Sooo, is there a way I can mickey mouse it directly to the battery for the remainder of the winter? If so, what is the best route to snake the wire through? The machine is a 912H with hydrolift. Thanks in advance, Erik
skunkhome 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Hot wire it directly to the battery with an inline fuse and then install an inline switch just ahead of the light. You can get rotary switches which will work at Walmart, Lowes or Home Depot.
joshuaareed 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Just make sure that you fuse it at your connection to the battery. Have fun.
Ronald Hribar 85 Posted December 30, 2007 Or hook it up with the headlights. Run a wire from the headlight to the backing light.
Simpleton7016 2 Posted December 30, 2007 oh that's good Ron....I can just splice it into the headlight wires! This tip alone is worth my $10 membership fee. Now the rest of the 2008 year is free! woohoo!!
