had 10" to 12" of snow over night. ive been working on 4hrs of sleep and had 8hrs on the tractor seat today:OB). the snow was wet, heavy, and lots of it. this is the first time i brought out this wheel horse to plow. it has a 14hp kohler & HI-LO rearaxle. it had a hard time pushin this heavy stuff and keepin up with the landlord. there was a few large piles the wheel horse could'nt move but the landlord could. i have been a diehard red tractor fan my whole life. but ever since this little orange thing showed up at my door a few years ago, it has been out doing itself every time i pull it out of the garage. i see alot more orange in my future:D. the landlord went threw 8 ROUGH hrs, 3 tanks of gas, & very little oil. i think she could've went another 8hrs}:), but this driver is plum tuckered out. i have about 1-2 more hrs in the morning to clean up. Perry, I hear you. I had 11-12 inches in Clarkston. I didn't even try using the blade at first. I used the Simplicty 24" walk behind snowblower to move most of the snow and them cleaned up with the blade. The snow was so wet as soon as you walked across it it packed down solid. I was 3-1/2 hours doing my driveway. Steve

Perry, it is always fun at first, but then the monotony sets in and it becomes work. It looks like that landlord will plow circles around that old horse. I always jump on the A/C before my old horse. My Wheel horse is the old backup plan. Nice work.

All you need for your Landlord is a hydro lift. Mine has become my favorite work tractor by far, the 725 is my baby though:)

Another testament to the Orange VS. Red..My buddy is storing his GT-14 equipt with a 42 inch snow blower in my shop and he asked me to take it out and see how it faired against the 5 less HP in my 64LL's. Long story short.....I was on the Wheel horse for 15 minutes "trying" to clear enough of a path to get out of the shop. Needless to say, yet necessary for posterity's sake, I put the horse to pasture, solicited the 64LL with the blower and was at the end of my 100+ foot driveway in mere minutes. This is a tractor that weighs 400 pounds more than my LL and has 5 more hp to burn and it couldnt even get 10 feet from the shop before I gave up on it. Here's a comparison picture of the brute size over the Orange. That's all it's got is size...lol. And for those of you with a clean and keen eye...yes....that's a short drive shaft from a 2110 that was fitted to the running boards to hold the chute crank in place. The Sovereign that I restored has been sold.....and guess who bought it? My buddy with the GT 14. He even said just today that the wheel horse will be stored in the shed out back but the Sovereign will be in his climate controlled garage. How's that for a testament to the true lure of these Simplicities and A/C's? All you gotta do is use one and you'll stop seeing Cubbies, Green Machines and Horses in your future.

Behind the GT14 is my restored Sovereign. The GT towers over all my Simps with it's 15 inch rear wheels, 14hp rebuilt Kohler engine and 250# front cast iron grill, yet it couldnt hold a candle to the Simplicities abilities.

Nice pics Perry and a lot of comparison information there. I have noticed if you have a lot of dead weight up front plus the engine you will loose a lot of traction due to having to push so much dead weight. It really serves no purpose. The Cub and Horse tractors while very heavily built waste a lot of balance with the cast front ends. Looks like it's fairly complicated to hook up the blower to the GT also. Any brand of tractor will have it's positives and negative traits. I would like to have been around the Simplicity proving grounds when the engineers went to work on making these tractors. They seem to have an all around ability to handle the attachments and varying conditions we often put our tractor in. Each brand may have their positives but I'd rather shoot myself in the foot than have to use a Cub Cadet. Attachments are too hard to hook up and no attachments I've seen do a real good job.:Y

IMO you should put the hydro on the 64. The 101 won't have a model 23 in itC. Nice snow pics. like the way you can push up the piles with that wet snow, mine don't often get hard enough to do that, and it ain't no fun when the front tires sink in past the asle.
