Bruker 2 Posted January 6, 2008 I'm doing some maintenance on my father-in-laws Prestige and when I pulled the front wheels off I noticed the bearings are sealed but yet there's a grease zert in the wheel. Is this just to keep grease on the axle so it doesn't rust up?
Killer_A-C 0 Posted January 6, 2008 They claim it is for ease of disassembly. Keeping everything in there greased keeps the parts from seazing up is the only thing I can figure.
carbuff713 0 Posted January 6, 2008 The grease is also suppose to keep the moisture out -- mower arbors are the same way -- sealed bearings that last 500 hours. David
