Is Pitman Bearing AC#2025745 Available?

I need to know if there is a replacement needle bearing available to replace the pitman bearing on this sickle mower. AC part #2025745 If the answer is yes, then I can save this unit, if not she gets parted out. Waiting in anticipation, Sam

Sam, I believe that bearing is available. I am not sure of the part# crossover but my simplicity parts manual shows the needle bearing inside the pitman housing as #8161198. This part is available from Jack's Small engine right here on this site. I am sure Sandy lake imp. also will stock it. I have checked on rebuilding my sickle bar and most of the bearings and bushings are still available from simplicity. I would sure hate to see any sickle bar get parted out . LOL Chris

Remove the old bearing and take it to your local Torrington bearing dealer. They will sell you the correct bearing cheaper than your local Simplicity dealer. Fact is Simplicity does not make their own bearings, they purchase them from a bearing manufacturer.
