Going to look at a used 912G (1980) again tomorrow (discussed in earlier post). Know what to look for on the tractor but need advice on what to check out on the snowblower. Again, asking price is $1500 for the two. Thinking about offering $1000 and then going $1200 tops. Any thoughts appreciated.

Brett, you cannot find an easier mounting snowblower than the one for the 912 except manybe the older AC and Sim. It requires no tools once the blower is set up properly.
The blower is pretty simple, just a high speed spinning auger. Just look at the general condition of the blower if it is all bent up it could have other problems. Make sure the auger spins freelly. It should have three pulleys with it. One under the top guard and two pivoting. One should have a spring (belt tensioner) on it.
Good Luck. MS
