The first two numbers is the series, ex. yours is the 3400 series, a 9020 is 9000 series, a 4212 4200 series and so on. JordB110.

David, The "34" on your tractor's model number does NOT mean the deck size. Some brands of new tractors do this, but Simplicity didn't. Sovereigns (3416s) came with either a 42" or 48" deck, with the 48" probably being more common on the 16hp tractor, with the 42" deck more common on the Landlords (3410s) ... I'm a proud owner of a '74 Simplicitiy Soveriegn. I've got a question. The numbers on the hood 3416,do they represent mower deck size and horsepower because it is a 16 hp but I don't have the deck. Thanks David
