BGB Shim Question

What is the recommended method to hold the shims in place while bolting the side plate on the BGB???

Tape, grease, gasket maker, luck, what???????? The "for sure" method is to remove the RH side plate from the transaxle and bolt it to the BGB while the BGB is positioned with the RH side placed horizontal. But, that is a lot of work. Must be an easier way. Thanks,

I used grease on the ones that I have rebuilt.
