dentwizz Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I was wondering if anyone has tried to put 16x8.5(I think thats what they are) on a 64 Landlord. It mostly does yard work, not a lot of plowing(flat driveway) so I was hoping to reduce some of the contact pressure. The question is will the lower gearing ratio of the early Landlord be enough to easily turn the wider tires? The tractor the rims are off of is a HB 112 which had 5.1 steering ratio. Thanks
ReedS Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I have a set of 16-6.50x8 tri ribs (from Miller Tire) on the front of my 2110. They (the tri ribs) make a big differance in turning effort due to the smaller contact area. The larger tires also don't sink in the mud as easily either.
dentwizz Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 Ok, thanks for the responses. I will give it a shot.
