[img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/611 deck.jpg[/img] Today I bought a AC 405 [img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/rider-1.jpg[/img] [img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/rider-2.jpg[/img] And a AC self propelled lawnmower at a tractor show. [img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/mower-1.jpg[/img] [img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/mower-2.jpg[/img] [img]/club2/attach/Karl_Brandt/bagger.jpg[/img] I only owned the lawnmower for 20 mins...some guy wanted to buy the lawnmower from me.:O Are the AC lawnmowers hard to find I have never seen one before? I almost have a newer 3.5hp Briggs & Stratton engine together for the mower.In the process of striping off the old paint. Now if it only stops raining!!:(:) Karl
DeltaBravo Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Karl, what's the date code on the engine on the walk behind? My sister has an AC walk behind with a 1980 dated engine. IIRC, the deck is orange with a white engine. No bag though, but has the block off plate. Great idea AC had with the aluminum deck!

Karl_Brandt Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 No I did not sell the lawnmower.:O:D The 3.5hp engine is dated to 1980. This AC mower is almost like the lawnboy lawnmower.:) The old engine was replaced with newr parts & was worn out. I already rebuilt a newer engine for the lawnmower. Now the self propelled is not going to drive....do not have the right parts to run it.The drive for the mower comes of the bottom of the oil sump. I stripped of the old red paint on the bagger chute and mower deck. I have most of the lawnmower already painted....few more parts to paint. Karl
