xenon172 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I have an Allis Chalmers 416 that does not have a parking brake and I do not see any area where one is suppose to be. Did these tractors have one and where they located. Thanks in advance for any help.
wilm169 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Depends if it is a hydro or not. Some on the left side, some on the right side. If you look in this owners manual one is on page 27 for the hydro, and the other on page 33. http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/6767PRINT/PDF_files/TP_100_1504_00_LT_A.pdf

There should be an elongated slot with a angled handle sticking out. Someone may have screwed it all the way out. I think it threaded either 3/8 or 5'16s.
BobT Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 The 416H parking brake is a rod that goes from the brake band through a hole in the fender. There is a handle on the end of the rod that sets the parking brake.
